About

We go beyond standards in everything we do to provide services with integrity, creativity and compassion.

Who we are

We help people live the lives they choose, whether that’s learning a new recipe, singing along at a concert or receiving 24-hour complex care to stay safely supported at home. Our approach is simple: we focus on what matters most to each person, helping them do what they want to do, not just what they need.

With over 30 years of experience providing care in local communities, we know there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Every person’s story is different, and we take the time to listen, getting to know individuals, their families and the professionals who support them. This helps us create tailored care that promotes independence, happiness and comfort in familiar surroundings.

From companionship and personal care to support with social activities and short breaks, we’re here to help people stay connected, confident and in control of their lives. We’re proud to think creatively and go the extra mile to make every day meaningful and to make every person smile.

Meet Sylvia, whose life transformed with the right support

"I'm going out raving"

Sylvia developed agoraphobia after the loss of her parents and rarely left the house. Working with Sylvia over time has built up her confidence and now there’s no stopping her!

1991

Founded from experience

Our journey began when our founders, frustrated by the challenge of finding well-trained temporary staff for their nursing home, decided to create the solution themselves. What started as a staffing agency and training provider laid the foundation for three decades of care excellence.

2010

Care & Support born

A pivotal moment in our history; we became a registered provider with the Care Quality Commission. This marked our evolution from a staffing agency into a comprehensive care provider, opening new possibilities to directly support individuals and families in our communities.

2013

First supported living service

We took on the management of a failing supported living service in Colchester, successfully transforming it into a beacon of quality care. This marked our expansion beyond domiciliary services and demonstrated our ability to turn challenges into opportunities for those we serve.

2018

Partnership with SECE Mind

We partnered with SECE Mind to champion mental health awareness in the workplace, creating a culture where ‘it’s ok not to be ok.’ Our commitment went beyond words, from charity parachute jumps to Beat the Seats at Southend Stadium, Elf Runs, and a 24-hour danceathon.

2021

Three decades of care

We celebrated 30 years of providing quality care and training across our communities. This milestone reflected not just longevity, but the thousands of lives touched, families supported, and the unwavering commitment to excellence that has defined our journey from day one.

2023

New partnership, new horizons

We joined a larger care group, combining our three decades of care excellence with their diverse sector expertise. This partnership enabled geographic expansion, including registering our second CQC location, ENS North in Cheshire, bringing our quality care model to new communities.

Our journey so far

For three decades, ENS has been at the forefront of delivering exceptional, person-centred care across the UK. What began as a small team with a big vision has grown into a trusted partner for families, commissioners and healthcare professionals seeking quality care solutions that truly make a difference.

Our journey has been shaped by an unwavering commitment to our core values: treating every individual with dignity, investing in our people, and continuously raising the bar for what quality care looks like. Each milestone in our history represents not just business growth, but the countless lives we’ve had the privilege to support and the families who have placed their trust in us.

"We go beyond standards in everything we do to provide services with integrity, creativity and compassion."
