The Care Workers Charity

November 28, 2022

We are very pleased to announce that ENS are now official members of The Care Workers Charity. Their vision is to promote the financial, professional and mental wellbeing of care workers. In 2020 they paid out almost £2million in Covid-19 Emergency Fund grants and over £200k in Crisis Grants to over 3,000 care workers in need.

We are supporting the charity by taking part in their ‘£500 Fundraiser’. Our very own Barry Jacobs, from our Care and Support division, has been growing his beard since November 2022 and will continue to until 31st January 2023. We will be taking regular photos of Barry’s beard progress so make sure you’re following our socials for updates.

If you would like to make a donation, you can find our fundraising page here: https://thecareworkerscharity.enthuse.com/pf/barry-jacobs

Below we have put together some frequently asked questions that may be able to help with yourself, a family member, a friend or a colleague:

Are you going through a difficult time such as illness or injury, a housing crisis, or bereavement?

The Care Workers Charity awards Crisis Grants during those unexpected or sudden life events that cause financial strain. The CWC may be able to support you with a one-off grant.

Are you suffering with stress, depression, anxiety, bereavement, financial problems, or PTSD?

The Care Workers Charity will pay for you to receive 10 sessions with a qualified therapist from an accredited mental health specialist provider.

Would you like some tips and advice to support your Mental Health and Wellbeing?

The CWC website is a great space to read up on other support and resources available to you. This ranges from Money & Debt advice, Mental Health helplines, Mindfulness techniques and guides to help with stress.

How can I get involved with fundraising for such a great cause?

There are many ways that you can help the CWC. You can donate directly to the charity, create your very own fundraiser or even volunteer your time.
